Recent Question/Assignment

Task description:
Curriculum planning is the process of defining learning intentions, content, pedagogy and assessment across the breadth of the curriculum. Your task is to write a blog (this may include videos) on the curriculum planning process in your discipline, including a review of teaching methods, resources (e.g., ICT), assessments, etc.
What you will do
You will collect, synthesise and analyse literature related to the curriculum planning process in your discipline.
You will use these questions to critically reflect on the process of translating theory into practice through curriculum planning. Reflection questions will include the following (feel free add to this list):
(1) What is the context of the school/community? (2) What are the unit aims and objectives (an example)? (3) What content should be included? (4) How should the content be organized? (5) What teaching strategies should be adopted and how will these be implemented using ICT to expand curriculum opportunities for students? (6) How should assessment be carried out’ (7) How should details of the curriculum be communicated? How should the capabilities and curriculum priorities be planned (for example are United Nations Sustainable Developmental Goals (Links to an external site.) used)? (8) What educational environment or climate should be fostered?
How will you report your findings?
You will prepare a blog that:
• Briefly sets out a review of the curriculum planning process in HUMANITIES (BUSINESS MANAGEMENT) – (this should include links to relevant literature)
• Reflects on the process of translating theory into practice through the curriculum planning
• And most importantly that outlines some implications and recommendations for teaching practice (including teaching, learning and context) with connections to appropriate literature and policy.
For examples of blogs, please see UNEVOC@RMIT Centre (School of Education) publishes to showcase research about young people, education, training and work pathways, health and well-being, crisis, disruption, and sustainable futures: UNEVOC@RMIT (Links to an external site.), Young People’s Sustainable Futures Lab (Links to an external site.), and Co-Lab SDGs (Links to an external site.)
