Welcome to Ipswich state high school and our annual trade training open day.
I would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we meet upon today the yagura, jagera and ugarapul people. We pay our respect to there elders past, present and emerging.
Good evening and thank you for coming to our open day. My name is Saxon Lovell and I would like to thank silver services for coming to the trade open day today.
Today you will see lots of students working on tools displaying their skills and projects. We will have three demonstrations throughout the day. You will be able to see students use tools, machinery and equipment. We will be walking through live workshops you will get to see and use our equipment. You can ask questions, we will be showcasing our tools, machine demonstrations and finished products from our students. We will also be touring the trade training centre to show the bigger machines and students’ workspace.
In case of an emergency you will find exits in all of the classrooms and at both ends of the hallway.
Our evacuation points are on the back oval, which is located next to the trade training centre.
