Essay question: Discuss the extent and main causes of domestic violence in Australia, and what can be done to address this problem?
Introduction: (key words; definitions and Thesis statement) majority of dangerous, abusive and violent behaviour, most commonly perpetrated by males against their female partner and vice –versa. This essay will discuss the main causes and solution of domestic violence in Australia.
Body paragraphs:
1st paragraph – Topic sentence (topic + controlling idea): The first cause of domestic violence is alcohol and drug use.
Supporting Ideas and examples (list): strongest cause for intimate partner, physical violence, behaviour, drinking, habits, and aggression.

2nd paragraph – Topic sentence (topic + controlling idea) -The second cause of domestic violence is perpetrators.
