Effective communication is one of the most important factors in healthcare delivery.
Discuss cognitive impairment as a barrier to communication, and strategies we, as nurses, can use to ensure effective communication with cognitively impaired patients.
You must include at least 15 scholarly sources in your paper. All references must be published within the last 10 years. Ensure academic format with appropriate referencing as per APA Style Guide 7th edition.
The following formatting/presentation specifications must be followed for assignment submissions:
• Use Arial or Calibri, 11 font
• Portrait orientation, A4 with 2cm margins
• 1.5 line spacing
• Word limits are strict with a +/- 10% variation of the word count (includes in-text references, not including end reference list)
• Copy of assignment to be retained by the student
