POLS1201 – INTRODUCTION TO INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
• Take Home Exam - Due Date: 07 Jun 21 9:00 AM – 9:00PM
Task Description:
• The Exam is open book, and students are encouraged to use course materials, including the Extended Reading list.
• The exam will be in two parts, part A and part B.
• Part A will contain questions on theory.
• Part B will contain questions on the structures, actors, processes, and phenomena of global politics.
• Each response should be in essay form.
• Essays should follow a conventional essay format with a clear structure, arguments organised into proper paragraphs, an introduction etc. Work should be referenced throughout (including page numbers where relevant), but students should not get hung up on every detail of the referencing system (such as commas vs colons etc).
• Students should also include a reference list at the end of the essay, which contains the essential information of the works cited, but students should not be too worried about the exact formatting. The reference list is not included in the word count.

• The word limit is 2000 words (+/-10%) for the two essays together (with each essay being 900-1000 words). Exams longer than the +10% allowance will be penalised.
