Timothy Walkers, Managing Director at AAG has signed contract with Solutions Consulting Pty Ltd to plan and implement its Online Learning System [OLS] for intranet based on its business reputation to delivery product and services within budget and time.
You have been selected as Project Manager for the Online Learning System [OLS] for intranet at George Street.
You will be responsible for plan and implement the Online learning System [OLS] in the 4 months.
Project manager has handed responsible to complete project planning from initiation till closure, stakeholder management and communication.
OLS is planned for the I.T course as pilot before being implemented throughout the organisation.

Strategy and Feasibility Study
The institution needs a Project plan report that will identify the opportunities that may occur through such an expansion and the likely impact of this strategy on the way the institution currently does business.
The institute had undertaken an internal strategic study [Elearning – AAG_strategic_plan.doc] and found the project to be feasible.
The institutions business strategy is to be competitive in the industry, provide improved learning experience to students. The institute would like to reduce cost and save resources such as paper and other benefits.
This project is being sponsored by the Board of Directors and has the full support of the Managing Director. Your report should be addressed to the Managing Director, AA Group of Institutes [AAG].
The institution would like the Project plan submitted for sign-off within 1 month of starting the work so that the institution can consider your recommendations and move quickly to implementation if appropriate.
Assumptions
Currently AAG has no such system the online learning system [OLS] and the current hardware is old and in urgent need of upgrade, staffs have no experience in using the OLS..
The Online Learning System [OLS] project will be implemented while the business continues to operate.
You are allocated 4 months. No budget is provided as you will provide cost details in your report to AAG. The following timeframes is signed in the contract – 1 month for project planning, 2 months for design, implementation and testing. 1 month for user training and support when the system is live.
You can make other assumptions as appropriate.
Your Task
The new OLS system will perform that same general work functions as the current system but it will be a completely different software system and interface so the leadership team feels that the employees will need a significant amount of training to get everyone as comfortable as possible with the new system.
