Summary:
Write an essay based on the readings set for the first session (the article by Chapman and Ferjola and the first two chapters of Bolman and Deal), evaluating the ideas in these readings against the ideas in Chapter 18, Managing Change and Stress (Kreitner and Kinicki 2013 — session 9 reading). Critically analyse the arguments with respect to the difficulties inherent in conceiving, planning and implementing a change within an organisation. Which ideas appear most useful to the change agent and why?
While it is possible to do an excellent essay using only these materials, you are welcome to draw upon other academic literature if you wish.
