Assessment Task
This assignment requires students to write an essay including an introduction, body and conclusion addressing the questions described below in Parts A, B and C as follows:
Part A) Describe the typical clinical symptoms and potential risk issues associated with a diagnosis of psychosis, depression and mania and describe how these factors might impact the persons lived experience incorporating the course content and readings (40% weighting).

Part B) Discuss how primary health care principles support contemporary models of Recovery orientated care in meeting the needs of people accessing MH services or how these services could be improved (40% weighting).
and
Part C) Reflect on your learning process throughout this assignment. Identify and describe some of your assumptions about mental health before starting this course. Explain how the concepts in the course have impacted your learning and developed your understanding of the lived experience of people with mental illness. Describe how you can apply your new knowledge to your nursing practice when caring for people with mental illness.
